How to Choose an Estate Series Flagpole
- Height and flag size. A 15 ft pole flies a 3' x 5' flag, 20 ft a 4' x 6', 25 ft a 5' x 8', and 30 to 35 ft a 6' x 10'. A pole that is visible from the street or across a parking lot usually looks best at 25 ft or taller.
- Butt diameter and wall thickness. A larger base and a thicker wall (.156" or .188") make a stiffer pole with a higher wind rating. In open or high-wind areas, choose the heavier wall.
- One-piece or two-piece. Two-piece poles (model numbers ending in 2) ship in two sections, which makes delivery easier to homes and tight or limited-access sites.
- Finish. Satin is the standard brushed aluminum. Clear anodized adds a hard protective coating, and dark bronze or black anodized give a darker, long-lasting color. Powder coat is available in bronze tone, black, white or clear.

Frequently Asked Questions
How deep is an Estate Series flagpole set in the ground?
From 2 ft for 15 and 20 ft poles up to 3 ft 6 in for 35 ft poles. The pole sits in the included PVC ground sleeve set in a concrete foundation.
Can a homeowner install it?
Smaller Estate Series poles are often installed by handy homeowners. Taller poles are heavier and harder to raise safely, so many customers have them professionally installed.
How much does freight cost?
Flagpoles ship by truck freight, so the cost depends on the pole length and your delivery address. Email us the model and address for a freight quote.
What is the difference between Estate and Continental Series?
Both are made by Concord American to the same standards. The Estate Series is sized and priced for residential and light commercial use, while the Continental Series covers larger commercial poles.
