XIRW Series: Xtreme internal reinforced with winch, stainless steel wire cable halyard
The Xtreme Series XIRW from Concord American Flagpole combines the strength of the Xtreme high wind line with a reinforced welded door frame and an internal winch and wire cable halyard. An inset reinforced aluminum door frame is welded into the precision-cut door opening, giving each butt diameter and wall thickness a higher wind rating while keeping a smooth, flush-fitting door. Every pole uses Concord's heaviest-duty hardware: an internal revolving truck with sealed bearings and a stainless steel spindle, heavy-duty stainless steel swivel flagsnaps and a cast aluminum flash collar. That makes the XIRW the choice for the most demanding projects: coastal and high-wind areas, oversized flags and multiple-flag displays. The flag is raised and lowered with a removable hand crank behind a door with a keyed lock, so it cannot be lowered or stolen without the key and crank.

How to Choose an Xtreme XIRW Flagpole
- Height and flag size. A 25 ft pole flies a 5' x 8' flag, 30 to 35 ft a 6' x 10', 40 to 45 ft an 8' x 12', 50 ft a 10' x 15', and 60 to 70 ft a 12' x 18'.
- Butt diameter and wall thickness. At each height, a larger base and a thicker wall (.188" up to .375") make a stiffer pole with a higher wind rating. Every Xtreme XIRW pole is rated at 139 mph or more with a nylon flag.
- Number of sections. The last digit of the model number is the number of sections. Two- and three-piece poles ship in shorter sections, which makes delivery easier to limited-access sites.
- Finish. Satin is brushed natural aluminum. Clear anodized adds a hard protective coating, dark bronze and black anodized give a durable darker color, and powder coat is available in bronze tone, black, white or clear. See other available flagpole colors.
