Concord American Independence Flagpoles - IRW

Concord American Independence Series Internal Winch Flagpoles – 20 ft to 80 ft

IRW Series: internal reinforced with winch, stainless steel wire cable halyard

The Independence Series from Concord American Flagpole is a commercial-grade flagpole built around a heavy-duty internal winch and stainless steel wire cable halyard. An inset reinforced aluminum door frame is welded into the precision-cut door opening, adding strength and giving each butt diameter and wall thickness a higher wind rating than an unreinforced door. The flush-mount door has a keyed lock and the winch crank is removable, so the flag cannot be lowered or stolen without the key and crank, and there is no rope to cut, fray or slap against the pole. Independence poles run from 20 ft to 80 ft and are a popular choice for corporate campuses, government buildings, schools, dealerships and other sites that want strength, security and a clean look.

Each Independence pole is available in 8 finishes, with the price for each finish shown on the product page. Prices are for the flagpole only: freight is quoted to your delivery address, and a freight deposit is charged at checkout and applied to your final freight cost. Email sales@ameritexflags.com with the model, finish and delivery address for a freight quote. For a winch flagpole without the welded door frame, see the Titan Series or the Sovereignty Series.

How to Choose an Independence Flagpole

  • Height and flag size. A 20 ft pole flies a 4' x 6' flag, 25 ft a 5' x 8', 30 to 35 ft a 6' x 10', 40 to 45 ft an 8' x 12', 50 to 55 ft a 10' x 15', 60 to 75 ft a 12' x 18', and 80 ft a 15' x 25'.
  • Butt diameter and wall thickness. At each height, a larger base and a thicker wall (.156" up to .375") make a stiffer pole with a higher wind rating. In open or high-wind areas, choose the higher rating.
  • Number of sections. The last digit of the model number is the number of sections. Two- and three-piece poles ship in shorter sections, which makes delivery easier to limited-access sites.
  • Finish. Satin is brushed natural aluminum. Clear anodized adds a hard protective coating, dark bronze and black anodized give a durable darker color, and powder coat is available in bronze tone, black, white or clear. See other available flagpole colors.

Independence Models by Height

Wind ratings are from the Concord American catalog. Height is the exposed height above ground. Each product page has the full specifications, weight and a comparison of the models at that height.
