Xtreme Internal With Winch – Wire Halyard
The Xtreme Series XIWW from Concord American Flagpole is a high wind internal winch flagpole, built with the increased wind ratings needed for coastal, high-wind, oversized-flag and multiple-flag applications. Heavy-wall .250" and .375" aluminum shafts are paired with Concord's heaviest-duty hardware: an internal revolving truck with sealed bearings and a stainless steel spindle, heavy-duty stainless steel swivel flagsnaps and a cast aluminum flash collar. A stainless steel wire cable halyard is raised and lowered by an internal winch behind a precision-cut, flush-mount hinged door with a keyed lock, so the flag cannot be lowered or stolen without the key and the removable crank. This 30 ft model has an 8" butt diameter and .250" wall, is rated for winds up to 178 mph with a nylon flag, and flies a 6 ft x 10 ft flag. This height suits office buildings, schools, churches, car dealerships and commercial properties.

Choosing the Right 30 ft Model
Concord American offers 2 Xtreme XIWW models at 30 ft. They differ in base (butt) diameter, wall thickness and number of sections. A larger base and thicker wall give a higher wind rating:
- XIWW30F81 (this model): 8" butt, .250" wall, one piece, 178 mph with flag, about 267 lb
- XIWW30F82: 8" butt, .250" wall, 2 sections, 178 mph with flag, about 271 lb
Multi-section poles ship in shorter pieces, which makes delivery easier to residential and limited-access sites. For open areas and coastal or high-wind locations, choose the higher wind rating.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size flag does this pole fly?
The recommended flag size for the XIWW30F81 is 6' x 10'.
How is it installed?
The pole sets 3 ft into a concrete foundation using the included galvanized steel ground sleeve, for a total length of 33 ft. A shoe base for surface mounting is available as an option.
How does it ship?
The XIWW30F81 ships by truck freight in one piece, with an approximate shipping weight of 267 lb. A $150 freight deposit is charged at checkout and applied to the actual freight cost.
How is the flag raised and lowered?
Open the locking access door, attach the removable hand crank to the stainless steel winch and turn it to raise or lower the flag on the internal wire cable. Remove the crank and lock the door when you are done.
Why choose an internal winch flagpole?
The wire halyard and winch are hidden inside the pole and locked behind the access door, which prevents flag theft and vandalism, protects the halyard from weather and cutting, and stops it from slapping against the pole in the wind. A wire cable cannot be cut as easily as rope, giving round-the-clock security for the flag.
Is there a warranty?
Concord American backs its aluminum flagpole shafts with a lifetime flagpole shaft warranty, subject to Concord American's warranty terms.
Do you install flagpoles?
Yes. Ameritex Flag & Flagpole installs flagpoles in San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country and across Texas. Call 877-598-3524 for an installation quote.
