Internal Vertical Wall Mount Series – Internal Winch – Wire Halyard – Made to Order
The VIW puts Concord American's winch and wire cable system, used in its Independence Series, into a vertical wall mount. The stainless steel wire halyard runs inside the shaft and is operated with a removable hand crank, so the flag cannot be lowered without the crank. That makes it the most vandal-resistant choice, with the clean look of an internal halyard pole. The winch sits on a platform in the bottom of the lower bracket and can be removed for maintenance by taking out a tamper-proof mounting screw. This 20 ft model has a 5" butt diameter, 3" top diameter and .188" wall, in one tapered aluminum piece. The shaft slides through the upper bracket into the lower bracket and rests on an internally welded ring. Both aluminum brackets have dual mounting plates with 8 attachment bolts in total, and set screws lock the pole in place. Internal halyard vertical wall mount poles are a good fit for schools, government buildings, parking garages and storefronts where a secure, clean-looking flagpole is needed. Each pole is made to order.

How is it mounted?
The VIW20D51 mounts to the building with upper and lower aluminum brackets, each with dual mounting plates, for 8 attachment bolts in total. Anchorage to your wall is by others, so have your contractor or engineer choose the anchors for your wall type.
How is the flag raised and lowered?
Insert the removable hand crank into the winch at the lower bracket and turn it to raise or lower the flag. Without the crank, the flag cannot be lowered. A second retainer ring assembly and connecting link are included for the top of the flag, to help lower the flag to the top of the upper bracket.
How long does it take?
