External Double Revolving with Yardarm and Gaff – Rope Halyard
The Concord American Nautical Double Mast flagpole recreates the rig of a historic sailing vessel. High-strength aluminum brackets join an offset double shaft, and the pole comes with both a 13 ft 6 in yardarm and a 9 ft gaff. This 50 ft aluminum flagpole has a 10" butt diameter and .188" wall and flies up to five flags. This height is built for marinas, resorts, corporate campuses and municipal waterfronts, where the pole is seen from a distance.

How Flags Are Flown on a Double Mast Nautical Flagpole
This pole has five halyards: two from the double revolving truck at the top, two on the yardarm and one at the gaff. In maritime tradition the gaff is the position of honor, so the U.S. flag flies from the gaff even though it sits lower than the masthead. A club burgee or organization flag flies at the top, and state, company, officer or signal flags fly from the yardarm. That lets you display up to five flags in the arrangement used by yacht clubs and the U.S. Power Squadrons.
Choosing the Right 50 ft Model
The NDM50D13 is the only 50 ft model in the Concord American Nautical Double Mast line. It is built with a 10" butt and a .188" wall for the loads a pole this tall carries.
